Factcheckers rarely check facts, or if they do, check selectively. They are horses with blinders. They always begin with a certain bias , usually unstated, which they do not test for contradictions or inconsistencies. Before the Election: Trump=Evil. Anybody-but-Trump and Lesser Evil=Good. Such biases express culture,a largely unconscious and very subjective stew of values, beliefs, worldviews and the like "received" from others and never questioned autonomously.
Rather, so FactCheckers focus on thesis they want to prove or disprove that they appear in the Media, the Public Consciousness -- but in terms of their own form of Collective Unconscious, in politics, the Political ld. The intention to prove or disprove is emotionally inauthentic The evidence used for proof or disproof must leave out a lot of contrary information to render this fundamentally inauthentic thesis to an audience that shares the same views.
